Nigeria’s most popular animation series, Adventures of Turtle Taido has picked up one award and two nominations at the Top Indie Film Awards, Tokyo, TIFA 2020. These are the award for Best Message, and Nominations for Best Animated Short and Best Original Idea. Says Muyiwa Kayode, Creator and Executive Producer of Turtle Taido, “The Best Message Award means a lot to us because the essence of Turtle Taido is to promote diversity and mutual understanding as a way of fostering unity in our nation, in Africa and the world. The main character travels to different cities and in so doing, he makes new friends, learns about other cultures and uses his special powers to help those in trouble”.
